Aphotic is a mysterious exploration and puzzle game where logic guides you through a world of puzzles and riddles—with no text or numbers. Every machine, tool, and symbol holds meaning, leading you closer to the ship's secrets and your escape. Explore vibrant retro pixel-art environments filled with interactive objects and hidden surprises, and embark on a fabulous, unpredictable space adventure.
History
Passion Project become professionalThe first game produced by Play Don't Tell, started out a long time ago as an innocent Point And Click prototype. As the ambitions and skills gathered on the project grew, so did the project's size, leading to a full-scope video game. Today, Aphotic is an experience with a strong philosophy: zero text, yet complex puzzles and immersive environments. The game is therefore very accessible, but contains layers and layers of puzzles and secrets.

Play Don't Tell is a video game studio based in Geneva that focuses on two areas of creation. The first area is mediation games, which aims to create cultural, social, or artistic mediation games in close partnership with foundations, associations, and other non-profit organizations. Play Don't Tell's second area of creation is entertainment games, aimed at an international audience.The studio was founded by two techno-educational designers: Kenneth Rioja, deeply involved in Learning Analytics, programming, UX Research and educational technologies; and Ivan Voirol, passionate about designing video games and board games.
